Jack it up

A

new manufacturer to me
was Das Werk who has a
set of German Luftwaffe

jacks plus two saw horses in
1/48 scale perfect for a servicing
diorama with a Fw-190 or Bf109.

What a lot, we have got!

I

n contrast to the Chinese,
Czech modelling continues
to show major growth and
Special Hobby had probably
the largest and most diverse
range of new releases in
both scale and subject.
It is hard to pick highlights
from this range but the two seat
Viggen being developed with
Tarrangus looks very nice and

I was pleased that both splinter
and grey camouflage schemes
will be included. In 1/32 the
latest boxing of the Tempest the
Mk.VI looked very striking in
its tropical camouflage scheme.
While the tiny Messerschmitt
Me209 in 1/72 also stood out from
the crowd thanks to its dark blue
colour with white registration
and Socialist flag tail markings.

had on

display a built
up copy of the
Flettner Fl282
Kolibri V-21 this
differed from
the previous
release by the
addition of two
fuel tanks on
either side of
the nose (Very
handy for weights to prevent
tail sitting). There will be
at least one more release in
this range which I expect to
be the V-24 with the boxed in

cockpit. Miniart said they are
looking for suggestions for
further 1/35 aircraft subjects
so if you like this scale now
