Assemble Block A

Measurements include^1 ∕ 4 " seam

allowances. Sew with right sides

together unless otherwise stated.

Press seams in directions indicated

by arrows on diagrams. If no

direction is specifi ed, press seam

toward darker fabric.

1. Sew together a light blue print
   2 ×42" strip and a cream print 2×42"
   strip to make Strip Set A. Repeat to
   make 13 A strip sets total. Cut strip
   sets into 244—2"-wide A segments
   (Diagram 1).
   2. Join two A segments to make
   a light blue Four-Patch unit
   (Diagram 2). Th e unit should
   be 3^1 ∕ 2 " square including seam
   allowances. Repeat to make 122
   light blue Four-Patch units total.
