Cut Fabrics
Cut pieces in the following order.
Designer Tisha Copeland
recommends using 2" Star Singles
papers to make triangle-squares,
and Deb Tucker’s Magic Wand
and Wing Clipper I tools to make
Flying Geese units (deb-tuckers-
studio-180-design.myshopify.com).
If you are using these tools, refer
to “Alternate Cutting Method,”
page 20, before cutting your fabrics.

From solid white, cut:


  • 9—5^1 ⁄ 4 " squares

  • 312—2^7 ⁄ 8 " squares

  • 132—2^1 ⁄ 2 × 41 ⁄ 2 " rectangles

  • 64—2^1 ⁄ 2 " squares
    From solid light turquoise, cut:

  • 64—2^7 ⁄ 8 " squares
    From solid dark turquoise, cut:

  • 72—2^7 ⁄ 8 " squares
    From solid light orange, cut:

  • 16—5^1 ⁄ 4 " squares

  • 12—2^7 ⁄ 8 " squares


Finished Quilt: 72½" square
Finished Blocks:
12" square (blocks 1–3),
8" square (Block 4),
8 ×12" (blocks 5 and 6)
