5. Remove a large floral 4× 71 ⁄ 2 "
   rectangle and its corresponding
   marked squares from design wall.
   Align left-hand square with left-hand
   end of rectangle, right sides together
   (Diagram 6; note direction of marked
   line). Sew on marked line. Trim seam
   allowance to^1 ⁄ 4 " and press open
   attached triangle. Add right-hand
   square to opposite end of rectangle
   to make a small Flying Geese unit.
   The unit should be 4× 71 ⁄ 2 " including
   seam allowances. Return unit to
   design wall. Repeat to make 16 small
   Flying Geese units total.
