with completely new inventory that
embraces what she loves—brights,
vivid batiks, warm traditional prints,
a cheerful rainbow of hand-dyed
wool, and time-saving panel prints.
“I thought if I can get excited about
what we have, then I can get our
customers to be as well,” says Heidi,
a longtime quilter and crafter who
favors saturated colors and high-
contrast combinations. “I have eclectic
tastes, and the shop reflects that, so
we speak to a lot of different crowds.”

Thanks to around 100 shop
samples, imaginations easily take
flight, and kits galore make it simple
for those who want to capture the
same look for their projects. “People
can’t always visualize what they see
on the fabric shelves,” Heidi says.
“That’s why we aim to kit 100 percent
of our samples. It takes out that
element of worry so they can focus
on enjoying the process of quilting.”
Heidi strives to keep the
surroundings fresh and exciting.

In 2014, owner Heidi
