Quilt Sampler – August 2019

(Marcin) #1

  1. Using one A print, one cream print,
    and four B print 2^1 ⁄ 2 ×42" strips, repeat
steps 1 and 2 to make Strip Set E and
cut eight E segments (Diagram 6).

  2. Using one cream print and five
    B print 2^1 ⁄ 2 ×42" strips, repeat steps 1
and 2 to make Strip Set F and cut
    eight F segments (Diagram 7).

  3. Referring to Diagram 8, lay out
one each of segments A–F. Layer
segments A and B, offsetting short
    edges^1 ⁄ 4 " (Diagram 9). To precisely
align pieces, pin together at seam
    intersections, pushing each pin straight
down into seam lines of both
    segments. Sew segments together. Join
    remaining segments in same manner
to make a diamond unit. Repeat to
    make eight diamond units total.

A PROJECT THAT WOULD APPEAL TO EXPERIENCED

QUILTERS BUT WOULD BE AN ACHIEVABLE CHALLENGE

FOR A CONFIDENT BEGINNER.”
