2. Lay out two diamond units with
B prints adjoining (Diagram 11).
Sew together, stitching between
marked dots; do not sew into^1 ⁄ 4 "
seam allowances. Press seam open.
Using set-in seams, sew a marked
solid gray triangle to joined diamond
units to make a star point unit
(Diagram 12). (For details, see Set-in
Seams, Pattern Sheet 2.) Press seams
open. Repeat to make four star point
units total.

3. Referring to Diagram 13, sew
together star point units in pairs,
stitching between dots as before.
Press seams open to reduce bulk. Join
pairs between dots; press seam open.
Add marked solid gray 20" squares to
remaining corners with set-in seams,
orienting marked dots toward star
center, to make quilt center. Trim
quilt center to 62" square including
seam allowances.
