Assemble Outer Bag
and Lining

  1. Following manufacturer’s
    instructions, fuse fleece 14× 151 ⁄ 2 "
rectangles to wrong sides of units E
    and H, fleece 14× 111 ⁄ 2 " rectangles
to wrong sides of units C and F, and
    fleece 14× 41 ⁄ 2 " rectangles to wrong
sides of units D and G. Quilt each
fused piece as desired. Designer Sue
Pierce quilted lines ¼" from each
    side of vertical seams.

  2. Referring to Diagram 7, fold
    Unit A in half, wrong side inside;
press to make pocket unit. The
    pocket unit should be 14×7"
    including seam allowances.

  3. Layer pocket unit atop right side
of Unit C, aligning bottom raw edges
of units (Diagram 8). Baste a scant

(^1) ⁄ 4 " from side and bottom edges.

  1. Using a ruler, mark a line
    extending the vertical seam lines
on pocket unit to bottom edge of
pocket. Stitch atop vertical seam lines
and marked lines through all layers
    to divide pockets, backstitching at
top of each line for reinforcement
(see blue lines in Diagram 8). Add
Unit D to bottom edge of unit to
make Pocket Panel A (Diagram 9).
