  1. Referring to Diagram 14,
    position key ring loop on left-hand
    edge of Unit H, 1^1 ⁄ 4 " from top edge;
    align raw edges and baste in place.
    Using Unit H and Pocket Panel B,
    repeat steps 6 and 7 to make lining.


Assemble Handle


  1. Referring to Diagram 15, sew
    together brown large floral and green
    print 3^1 ⁄ 2 × 181 ⁄ 2 " rectangles to make a
    31 ⁄ 2 × 361 ⁄ 2 " handle unit. Repeat with
    brown small floral and solid magenta
    31 ⁄ 2 × 181 ⁄ 2 " rectangles to make a
    second handle unit.

  2. Center and fuse fleece 3×36" strip
    to wrong side of one handle unit.
    Layer fused handle unit atop
    unfused handle unit, with right
    sides together and brown florals at
    opposite ends. Sew together along
    long edges only (Diagram 15).


Turn right side out; press. Topstitch^1 ⁄ 4 "
from each long edge to make handle.

Finish Bag


  1. Turn outer bag right side out.
    Referring to Diagram 16, center each
    end of handle at side seams, aligning
    raw edges; pin. Stitch ends in place,
    backstitching for reinforcement.

  2. Insert outer bag into lining with
    right sides together, tucking handle
    between layers and aligning side seams
    (Diagram 17); pin. Sew along top
    edges, leaving a 6" opening for turning.

  3. Turn right side out through
    opening and stitch opening closed.
    Push lining back into outer bag.
    Press and topstitch^1 ⁄ 4 " from top
    edge to complete reversible bag.
