2019 MONO AWARDS: PLACES

Anthony McKee
When it comes to making strong
black-and-white images, ultimately,
it is about learning to see, not with
your eyes, but with your heart.
Our eyes are too easily seduced by
colour and bright light, but it is your
heart that can often be the better
judge of emotion and moment.
Photography is no different to
music or any other art – when you
learn to feel what it is you are trying
to say, you will become a better
artist with your camera.
