Easy access
The restored rear lamps have beenrefi tted on theback of the body
tub – what an innovation to have lamp housings that hinge down
for changing the bulbs!

Rolling
To complete the effect, the wheels have beencarefully resprayed to
preserve the original 1949 date stampings, and shod with a newset
of classically original 6.00x16Avon Traction Mileagetyres.

Looking good
Britparttechnician,Steve Grant, who has hadconsiderable input
on this job, gives the project afi nal coat of lookingat, be fore
contemplating the nextstage.

Simple sender
The fuelgauge sender unit (bearing originalstampings) is installed
in thetank using brassscrews, and wired up via a simplestud and
nut terminal.

Tanked up
The new fueltank is installed with a RadfordsBulkheads
galvanisedtank guard and piped throughto the pump on the
frontof the bulkhead.

Lift-off door hinges
The doors areback from thepaintshop, too. These are new doors
suppliedby Wadsworth Panels. Hinges are fi tted using thecorrect
rust-resistant sheradised bolts.
