Check out this early peek at Marc
Warren as he takes on Barry Foster’s
iconic role as the titular Dutch detective
in ITV’s modern-day revival of classic
crime drama Van der Valk. The new

three-part series is currently being
filmed in Amsterdam and also stars
Maimie McCoy and Emma Fielding.
‘It’s got attractive, intriguing
characters, danger and humour – and
a fantastic backdrop in Amsterdam,’
says executive producer Michele Buck.

Succession
Logan (Brian Cox) faces fresh
challenges in the second series
of Sky Atlantic’s comedy drama.

Tim Minchin stars in a comedy drama about an epic road trip

Comedian Tim Minchin is undertaking an eventful trip
across his native Australia in this new shot from his
forthcoming Sky Atlantic comedy drama Upright.
The eight-part series, which has been written by
Minchin, airs later this year. It sees him play Lucky
Flynn, a talented but self-destructive pianist who is
estranged from his family. But when he finds out his
mother only has days to live, Lucky drives across the

outback, from Sydney to Perth, to visit her, taking his
beloved upright piano with him on the journey. He’s
also accompanied by tough-talking teenager Meg
(Milly Alcock), who he runs into on his odyssey.
‘This is the show I’d been waiting to make,’ says
Minchin, who has also composed original music for
the series. ‘I like stories that make me laugh and
think and cry, and I love characters full of flaws.’

Meg (Milly Alcock) joins
Lucky (Tim Minchin) on
his emotional journey
