s a magazine Asian Photography has always been known to innovate
and do new things. Whether it is our famous shootouts or the awards
or the sort of content that the magazine focuses on. But the beauty
about us is that we don’t easily get satisfied with everything that we do.
With the growing interconnectability, accessibility and the cross pollination
of platforms we wanted to be closer to our readers, and more importantly
impart knowledge onto the growing community of photographers. So as a
first this year, the magazine started something new and unique and it was a
runaway hit.
This month our magazine conducted the first of its kind Photowalk
and Review session on Street Fashion photography. We conducted a live
workshop in Mumbai, headed by the famous photographer Ritam Banerjee
where the participants got to shoot live models on the streets of Mumbai
with their work reviewed on the same day by Ritam and me. The winning
participants also were awarded with SD cards and designer camera bags
from SanDisk and Golla. So we would like to give a shout-out to the brands
for the prizes and also to Udaan School of Photography for helping us with
the venue.
We have featured a special article in the pages of the magazine this month
along with the winning images clicked by the participants. The talent and the
ability that the young/budding photographers showed us was phenomenal,
and hopefully if they are able to stay the course then we might see many
good photographers in the years to come.
We do intend to conduct a lot more of these walks in the months to come
and we hope that you will join us and benefit from the same. So stay tuned
