Star trailS

In Many digital camera the slowest shutter speed setting
is labeled as ‘B’ or ‘Bulb’ Mode.
The bulb mode allows the photographer to keep shutter
open for as long as is depressed (that means pushed down,
not sad...).
This allows you to take your shoot more creatively –
specially in low light situations.
The bulb mode is often used for capturing light trails
like someone drawing out a message with a torch, moving
traffic at night and also to capture fireworks. To get the most
of it mount your camera on tripod (unless you want to add
camera movement into your shot as well) and use a remote
trigger to avoid shake while pressing the shutter button.
At the extreme end of bulb settings astro - photographers
will leave the shutter open for long periods of time (hours)
to capture star trails. To do this you will need a small
ISO, Narrow aperture and should be aware that on many
cameras it will drain your batteries significantly.

g o grainy

Grains adds an element of mood into an image. Boost the ISO in
settings to create grainy images. The higher you go the more grainy or
noisy image you will get.
Grains look perfectly effective in monochromatic shots, especially
when you blow them up for display. You can also add grains in post-
processing with the help of softwares like Adobe Lightroom and Adobe
Photoshop.
