PHOTO-MONTAGE

My photography journey started after a
long period of being alone in a new city
full of strangers. After completing my
graduation, when I started working in
an Mnc, I had to relocate to Pune from
my hometown Jalandhar. This was the
first time that I had to leave my city and
move into another city where nobody
knew me except one school friend
who was kind enough to help me settle
during initial days. After working for 8-9
months in night shifts and spending
most of that time alone gave birth to
my two hobbies, photography and
reading. While reading has helped me
to improve my thoughts and the way of
living, photography is something that
has made me express myself which
I couldn’t through my words. I love
to capture the emotions on streets. I
am very fasnicated about capturing
people while they are lost in their own
thoughts. Loneliness and emotions play
very important role in what I capture
on streets. For me photography is all
about emotions. If I feel something
on street, I capture it and share it.
Photography has helped me to improve
my limitations a lot. Meeting new
people, public speaking, interacting
with strangers these all things would
have been impossible for me without
my love for photography. It has given
me so many new friends in Pune,
Mumbai, Jaipur, Kolkata, Odisha and
so many other states that I could never
dream of. Every day I receive messages
from new people saying how they
are inspired by my pictures or by my
editing style and some by my captions
on my Instagram account. From being
a lonely person to interacting with so
many new friends everyday, life has
changed a lot and I don’t have any
other choice than to be grateful for the
amount of love that I have received all
because of my photography.
