From fisheyes to tilt-shifts and mega

telephoto zooms to super wides

on’t restrict yourself to boring ‘normal’ lenses when there
are lots of specialist options available to use with your
Canon camera. There are fun fisheye lenses to capture
extreme fields of view, tilt-shift lenses for toytown shots or
straighter photos of buildings, as well as ultra-wide lenses like the
Canon EF 11-24mm. But it’s not only the wides, check out Canon’s
unique Canon EF 200-400mm f/4 L IS USM with Internal 1.4x
Extender, and it’s available for around only £10,000!

Diagonal and circular
There are two main types of fisheye
lens: full-frame and circular. A full-frame
fisheye produces an image that covers
the entire sensor, while a circular fisheye

produces a round image in the middle of
the sensor with a dark border around it.
This effect varies according to the
design of the lens and the size of the
sensor in your Canon DSLR. A lens that

produces full-frame images on an
APS-C sensor (eg EOS 800D) will look
different on a full-frame camera (eg EOS
6D Mark II), so you need to check the
coverage for your camera.

a unique perspective, but that does
come at a price...

is a great way to
capture classic
shots with extra
lens flare!
