PROJECT INFO
Join in
the fun!
One of the great things
about photography is
being able to share your
view of the world. From
nature’s very own to
man-made flying machines,
we take to the skies with
two readers both using
Canon lens extenders.
We want your photos
and stories! For your
chance to show off your
images in PhotoPlus, send
three to five high-resolution
JPEGs, along with a brief
synopsis – explain why you
took the shots, the location,
whether they’re part of an
ongoing project or a one-off
shoot, and anything else
unusual or interesting. Also
include Canon DSLR, lens
and exposure details.

Pathway of
endeavour
Sticking close to home, Paul captures
local wildlife and talks about his passion
regularly visit my
local park and
surrounding areas
in my town with
photography friends
to capture wildlife
portraits. For the picture
of the blue tit we set up some
mossy branches to provide a
colourful and textured perch
in the picture. This worked
well for enticing them over. I
used a continuous burst mode
and AI Servo focusing to take
the shot, I just had to wait for
the bird to face the right way.
Thermals, hats and gloves
are essential for shooting
during winter, so I was glad
to have them with me when I
shot this pheasant on a frosty
morning. The Pheasant is a
resplendent bird and the sun’s
rays caught its lush plumage
just right as he entered the
field. I had to brighten his
chest a little in Photoshop
to make it stand out.
