Delete music
We all know that music
and video files can take up
storagespace,that is partly
why streaming services have
become so popular. But be
aware: music that you’ve saved
on Spotify and other streamers
for offline listening will also
useupyourmemory.

Look for large fi les
It’s hard to picture how much
memor y certain files are eating
up. If you look under Storage in
Settings, it will display your used
storageasa
colour-coded
bar.
However,
free app
DiskUsage
will give you
a more
detailed
infographic.

Upload to the cloud
An alternative
to buying an SD
card is to store
your content in
the Cloud for
free,suchas
Google Drive or
Dropbox. Not
only does this
free up space,
but its easy to
access content on
any other device.

Clear out junk files
Over time your A ndroid can collect a
lot of digital detritus, for instance, APKs
(app
installers)
that might be
lingering on
your device,
temp fi les,
folders and
more. Delete
these simply
by going to Storage in Settings and
tappingCachedData.

can waste
storage on
duplicate
contact details and old
numbers. Apps like Simpler
Merge Duplicate w ill help you
fi nd and delete multiple
entries of the same contact.
