Connect your


phone to a network


You can quickly connect your phone to an FTP network
to collect files. It’s really simple and this tutorial will
show you how to do it

Tap the menu button in the top-right of
the screen, when you don’t have any files
selected, to choose how you want your files and
folders to be displayed. Select whichever one
works best for you and then just give it a quick
tap to set it up.

Tapping the pink button in the bottom-right
of the screen will open another menu. This lets you
create new files, folders and connections. Tapping
on any of the options will let you quickly pop
something into your file saving system. We’ll cover
the connections later in the tutorial.

The last button you might need is the little
arrow in the top bar. This lets you take a step
back into parent folders. It’s useful to get a better
idea of how everything is stored on your device
and lets you quickly jump out of folders to the
main list as well.

have to do is simply tap it – it

First tap the pink circle to open the
menu. You should see an option called Remote
Connection. This is what you want to use to
connect your phone to the server, so tap on it.
You will need the details of the connection
you’re trying to make in the next step.

(^1) You’ll need to know the host of the SFTP
server you’re trying to connect to, as well as your
username and password. Enter them in the
spaces provided and when you’re done tap on
the button marked Test Connection to see if
everything is working in the way it should be.

If things haven’t gone right, then you
should see an error message replace the
button. Try re-inputting the values and having
another go. If you’re sure that everything’s right,
then it might be a problem with the server
you’re trying to connect to. Check the settings
there and then have another try.

If everything goes well, then your
connection to the server should be accessible
by tapping on the menu button in the top
left-hand side of the screen. Look down through
the list of folders and file types and you should
see it there. Simply tap on it whenever you want
to connect to the server.
