f you’re not a fan of the Lollipop soft keys or you
just want to try something new, you can replace
your device’s soft keys with a whole range of
different graphics. Candy Shop is a huge collection of
customisations covering many aspects of the Android
user interface, including soft keys.
This tutorial shows you how to apply any of the
Candy Shop soft key modifi cations to your rooted
dev ice. A lthough this is written with the Nexus 5 andLollipop in m

The first time you create a ZIPThemer
file, the app asks whether you want to create a
fl ashable Undo File too. If you don’t like your
changes, you can remove them quickly and
easily by fl ashing this Undo fi le, so for now tap
Always. The app will then create your fi les.5 Undo File
Head over to Google Play and download
the free ZipThemer app. Next, go to the XDA
Developers thread http://bit.ly/1BNruOx, which
contains lots of different soft keys that you can
apply to your device. Download the Zip fi le(s) you
want to try on your device.1 Choose your graphics
Launch the ZipThemer app. Tap the
three-dotted menu icon and select Update Edify.
Then tap Browse and navigate to the folder
where you stored your custom ROM’s zip fi le.
Select the zip and tap Confi gure. After a few
moments, you’ll see a Success message.2 Confi gure your ROM
Return to the main ZIPThemer screen by
tapping the back soft key. You’ll see the Output
path has updated to include your selected ROM.
Tap +Theme and navigate to your Download
folder. Find the Candy Shop ZIP you want to use
and give it a tap to select.3 Add your +Theme
Boot into your device’s custom recovery,
flash your new ROM and then reboot your device.
You should now have some new-look soft keys! If
you’re unhappy with the result, you can revert to
your old soft keys by booting back into recovery
mode and fl ashing the Undo fi le.6 Flash and reboot
