The Honor 3C is a good
device overall, but the
software build and weak
camera disappoint
»Verdict
Value for money
At barely over £100, the Honor 3C is
amongst the cheapest Android devices
Features
The biggest omission is LTE connectivity,
which now appears in low cost devices
Design
WhiletheHonor6hasastrikingdesign,the
3C is largely anonymous but inoffensive
Performance
The Honor 3C is an adequate performer,
thanks largely to the generous 2GB RAM

Expandable storage
The Honor 3C includes 8GB storage,
however, this is expandable via
microSD. The battery is also

Long battery life
The 2300mAh battery is large and swappable
- ideal for long days.
phone can take reasonable pictures in good
lighting conditions, but struggles particularly in
low light. However, the 5 megapixel front-facing
camera fares better. Although it too works best
in bright conditions – most of us don’t want to
take selfi es in the dark anyway! With many of
it’s nearest rivals offering cameras of 2
megapixels at best, the Honor 3C is a good tool
for the more snap happy amongst us. The
Honor camera app is also fully featured, with a
host of options including a beauty shot mode
which delicately air brushes out any
imperfections that are present!
The situation with the cameras very much
sums up the Honor 3C – while it’s not going to
be the perfect phone for everyone, providing you
don’t plan to do anything too taxing and you
don’t expect too much from the main camera,
then you will likely be happy with your bargain
purchase. The only problem? The second
generation Moto G is superior to the Honor 3C in
almost every regard.
