Jabra
Solemate

Jabra talks the talk but unfortunately
the Solemate doesn’t walk the walk.
We were promised a speaker with a
powerful bass and soaring highs but it
didn’t deliver on either. Both were good but
nothing spectacular. It also didn’t come with a
wall charger, which is an oversight. We’re also a
little unsure about the styling. It’s meant to
resemble a shoe, hence the sole pun, but it just
doesn’t look like something you’d want in your home.
Denon Envaya Mini
»^ Price^ £99/ $149

Denon has taken a l a risk by producing a small,
budget version of its popular Envaya speaker, but has
succeeded in miniaturising the technology without
compromising on quality. It uses Apt-x technology to
stream at such speeds you barely notice any lag if
using it as a booster while watching something on
your laptop or tablet. Its low end is superb as well and
it looks great. Denon’s experiment with a low cost
device has been a rousing success.
