This mobile companion

app to the desktop Adobe

Illustrator CC software is a

far simpler affair with no options to

edit vector paths and the like. For

that, there’s an option to send your

drawings directly to Illustrator CC.

Still, the phone app – oddly not

available on tablets – is a handy

mobile sketchpad. One standout

feature is the ability to use up to ten

layers, enabling you to create

complex overlaid images and use

interesting photo backdrops.

There are fi ve vector brushes and

an eraser, each with options for size,

opacity and colour, chosen from a full

palette. Just draw your strokes and

use undo if needed. You can also add

any vector shapes from your Creative

Cloud Library or those that have

been created using Adobe Capture

CC. Disappointingly, this version of

Illustrator Draw currently lacks the

iPad app’s Touch Slide feature.

2, including a virtual night sky to help you

pictures. There’s also a live stream from

the High Defi nition Earth Viewing (HDEV)

experiment on the ISS.
