CHAPTER 4: Introduction to XML: Defining an Android App, Its Design, and Constants 115

If you use the Run As ➤ Android Application menu sequence, and the Nexus One AVD does
not appear (for instance, if the Neptune Pine AVD pops-up), simply use this Run As ➤ Run
Configurations menu sequence first. The Neptune One emulator is shown in Figure 4-10, in case
you are wondering what it should look like.

Once you have launched the Run Configurations dialog, shown in Figure 4-9, click the middle
Target tab, and then select the Nexus One as your default emulator. To do this, place a check mark
next to AVD_Nexus_One_by_Google, which will deselect any other selected AVD emulator (in
this case, that would be the Neptune Pine smartwatch). Once this is done, you can click the Apply
button, which will set the Nexus One as your new default AVD emulator, so that it is now the AVD
that will appear every time you use the Run As ➤ Android Application work process.
