340 CHAPTER 9: Android Graphic Design: Making Your UI Designs Visual
- Again, use the Image ➤ Scale menu sequence to access the Scale Image
algorithm, this time using 128 pixels for the HDPI resolution density version,
and Export the file using the same file name in the drawable-hdpi folder.
Use Edit ➤ Undo Scale Image to return to a 500-pixel source image, and
perform the same work process, creating MDPI and LDPI image versions.
Scale Image dialogs for the HDPI, MDPI, and LDPI resolutions are shown in
Figure 9-26.
Figure 9-26. Perform a Scale Image operation, using the 500-pixel source, for HDPI (left), MDPI (center), LDPI (right)
Creating Your Other Three ImageButton States
Let’s create the other states:
- Use the Colors ➤ Hue-Saturation menu sequence to access the
Hue-Saturation dialog, and enter a value of 30 next to the Hue slider, as
seen in Figure 9-27. This will shift the Hue 30 degrees, changing the gold
color into lime green. We’ll use green for the pressed ImageButton state, and
will need to scale and export this lime green ImageButton version in all five
resolution density folders, as you learned how to do in the previous section.
