(the first was Blender 3D) to be able to compete “feature-for-feature” with commercial software
packages in its new media production genre (digital video editing, compositing, special effects, and
compression).
Once you register on the Lightworks web site, you will be able to create a
video editor profile for your company and log in to be able to download a
copy of Lightworks 11.5 for your content development workstation that you
are putting together in this chapter. Since Lightworks is such a valuable piece
of software, you need to register to get it, which is fine with me, given that
this software used to have a four-figure price tag.- Once you are signed-up as a proud Lightworks 11.5 user, you will click on
the Downloads button, located at the top-right of the site menu, and you will
see all of the different versions and documentation for the software.
