CHAPTER 16: The Future of Android: The 64-Bit Android 5.0 OS 609Once the download has completed, right-click on the file and use the Run as Administrator
context-sensitive menu option to launch the installer, as shown in Figure 16-9. It is always safer
to run and install the software package as the system administrator, so that the installer has the
permissions it needs to create any of the necessary folders, sub-folders, or files.

As you can see in Figure 16-9, I used my trusty USB dongle (key) to transport the downloaded
android-studio-bundle Windows installer file from my 64-bit 8GB HexaCore Gateway system, shown
in Figure 16-8, to my 64-bit 4GB QuadCore Acer system, which is shown in Figure 16-9.
Once you launch the installer, you will get a Welcome dialog, as shown on the left in Figure 16-10.
Click the Next button and choose your user base in the Choose Users dialog shown in the
middle. Click Next and then accept the default installation destination folder in the Choose Install
Location dialog, as shown on the right side of Figure 16-10. Notice that the space required, as well
as the space available, is listed in this dialog.
Click on the Next button and accept the default Android Studio folder name in the Choose Start
Menu Folder dialog, shown on the left side of Figure 16-11. Click the Install button to install the
Android Studio software.
