616 CHAPTER 16: The Future of Android: The 64-Bit Android 5.0 OS

Once you install the Android TV SDK, you can select that option and then select the Wear SDK
option if you have an Android wearable device for which you are developing, or the Glass SDK if
you have a pair of Google Glasses. When you install additional SDKs later, I show you how to install
these other niche SDKs.

You can always go back later in the IntelliJ IDEA and add devices at any time that you need to do so,
as you may have already surmised. For instance, once the Auto SDK becomes available, you can
install it and then select it as a form factor for your app later. I will be showing you how to do all of
these work processes throughout the remainder of this chapter, so that you are as up to speed on
64-bit Android 5.0 as you are on 32-bit Android 4.4.

Once you select your device form factors and click the Next button, you will be taken to the third
dialog in this series, the Add an activity to Mobile dialog, which can be shown in Figure 16-21. This
dialog contains almost a dozen “snapshots,” or graphical icons, showing the different types of
bootstrap application code configurations that this New Android 5.0 Application Project series of
dialogs can automatically create for you.
