From cream wool felt, cut:
▫ 1 each of patterns A, B, D, I, and R
From red wool felt, cut:
▫ 1 each of patterns C, G, K, and N
From orange wool felt, cut:
▫ 1 of Pattern E
From black wool felt, cut:
▫ 1 of Pattern F
From peach textured wool felt, cut:
▫ 1 of Pattern H
From beige textured wool felt, cut:
▫ 1 each of patterns J and L
From dark taupe wool felt, cut:
▫ 1 of Pattern M
From light green wool felt, cut:
▫ 1 each of patterns O and P
From green textured wool felt, cut:
▫ 1 of Pattern Q
From black-and-white twine, cut:
▫ 3—8"-long pieces

2. Using floss in colors that match
   appliqués, blanket-stitch edges of
   D face and F hat. Using red floss,
   blanket-stitch edges of G hatband.
   Using orange floss, blanket-stitch
   edges of E nose.
   To blanket-stitch, pull needle up at A
   (Blanket Stitch Diagram). Form
   a reverse L shape with floss, and hold
   angle of L shape in place with your
   thumb. Push needle down at B and
   come up at C to secure stitch.
   Continue in the same manner around
   entire shape.
   3. Using pink floss, featherstitch
   embellishment on G hatband.
   To featherstitch, bring needle up
   at A (Featherstitch Diagram), form a
   V shape with floss, and hold angle in
   place with your thumb. Push needle
   down at B, about^3 ∕ 16 " below A. Come up
   at C, about^1 ∕ 4 " to right of A, to secure
   stitch. For the next stitch, form a V
   shape with floss, insert needle at D
   (about^3 ∕ 16 " above C), and bring it out
   at E to secure stitch. Continue in the
   same manner for the width of
   the band.

ASSEMBLE SNOWMAN

ORNAMENT

Use two strands of embroidery
floss for all embroidery stitches.
Refer to Photo A, opposite, for
placement of embroidery stitches
and buttons.

   piece arrange appliqué pieces
   D–G. Fuse appliqués in place
   following manufacturer’s
   instructions.
