Sony a7R IV Full-Frame
Mirrorless Camera
This past July, during a presentation in New
York City, Sony announced a new full-frame
mirrorless camera: the Sony a7R IV, which
includes Sony’s new 61-megapixel image sensor.
It also comes with a number of additional
impressive features, including:
- 10 frames-per-second burst mode, with
autofocus and auto-exposure tracking. - 15 stops of “enhanced dynamic range.”
- 567 phase-detection F points.
- Real-time Eye AF for both still photos and video.
- 4K-video recording.
- A 5.76-million-dot OLED viewfinder.
- Multi-Interface Shoe with Digital Audio
Interface. - 5-axis in-body image stabilization (IBIS).
- Dual UHS-II card slots.
The new Alpha camera body should be currently
available. In addition, Sony announced several
accessories, including a new shotgun microphone,
the ECM-B1M, which is another first for Sony: It’s
the first mic that will transfer audio to the new a7R
IV via a purely digital signal.
