( 1 ) It’s what I grew up with. I have a 1959 BSA Gold Star, a Triumph Thunderbird, a Parilla 175
Superhawk, and a few Ducatis. ( 2 ) You don’t need to shake the windows, but the sound defines the
motorcycle. It’s nice to know the iron horse is alive. ( 3 ) People come from all over the world to see
my shop-cat Max. ( 4 ) At my age, I go with a lower utility cruiser like a late model Triumph or maybe
a Harley Sportster. ( 5 )With analog, you can read it easier and the batteries never die. My 2 1⁄2 -inch
gauge may be off by a couple inches, but it will tell me if they vary. ( 6 ) I’ve had my sideburns and
mustache since I was in my 20s. Not everyone likes facial hair, but I hear people are growing
beards again and it’s trendy. ( 7 ) Radios on bikes is like putting entertainment in the honeymoon
suite. The motorcycle is the entertainment.
