CINEBENCH R15ҐMULTI҃THREADEDґ
(Higher is Beer)
The Gigabyte motherboard turned out the strongest
performance here in Cinebench’s multi-threaded
benchmark, which stresses all the CPU’s threads to render
a photorealistic scene. The ASUS and MSI boards were only
slightly behind, but the ASRock didn’t fare too well with
a score that was noticeably lower than its competitors.
However, the latter is actually only a mere 1.4 per cent lower
than the Gigabyte, so the gap probably isn’t as signiȴ cant as
it seems.
OVERCLOCKINGҐCINEBENCHґ
(Higher is Beer)
Overclocking performance was relatively consistent
across the board, but it was ultimately the ASUS and MSI
boards that managed to squeeze out a marginally higher
overclock – 5.063GHz versus 5.04GHz – with BCLK set
at 112.5, CPU clock ratio at 45, and CPU Vcore at 1.38V.
In comparison, the other two boards would only run
Cinebench with a BCLK value of 112.
ASHES OF THE SINGULARITY
ҐDX12, HIGH, 1080Pґ
(FPS, Higher is Beer)
Running Ashes of the Singularity at High settings and a
1080p resolution creates a CPU-limiting scenario, and
the ASUS ROG Maximus IX Formula was the one that
took the lead here. The ASRock and Gigabyte board
lagged slightly behind here, and it may be that all the
additional components, particularly the PEX 8747
switcher, are translating into a small performance
penalty.
