Introducing
Google Play
Google Play is constantly
expanding with new content
on a daily basis. As well
as off ering over 850 , 000
apps and games, users can
now fi nd dedicated music,
movies, books and magazine
sections that are fi lled with
even more content than ever
(Fig 1).

Purchasing apps
With over 1 million apps at
your disposal, you’re never
going to run out of new
content to fi ll up your device.
What you’ll notice about
some apps is that they’re free
to download, while the rest
require you to part with some cash before you can download them
(Fig 2 ). The payment process is simple through the Google Play
store and, thanks to Google’s own Wallet system, users can keep
their details safe while purchasing as many apps as they like. Google
does require you to input your card details to purchase apps, but
you can always remove them by going directly into the settings
menu within Google Play after purchasing all the apps you want at
that time.
All the paid apps require just a one-off payment to download
and each varies in its price. With some more of the expensive apps,
such as CoPilot Live, you’ll fi nd that after purchasing the main app
