Flamingos can live in both warm and colder climates.
They just need plenty of water and mud. These birds
stomp their webbed feet to stir up food. They also
sweep their heads below the water to loosen food from
the mud.

It’s a good thing you are not a flamingo, otherwise
you would have to eat with your head upside-
down. Flamingos use their large lower beak to
strain water and mud from the food they find. This
filter feeding helps them gulp up a mouthful of
algae, shrimp, fish, and insects.
