If you know your Bluetooth speakers you
might be thinking, that looks like a squashed
version of the excellent UE Boom. And you’d
be right, it does. If you know your Stuff you
might also be thinking, is that all it takes,
though, to get into the Hot Four section
these days? A new size? But here you’d
be wrong, sadly, for the Wonderboom is
a whole new speaker. It’s immersible in
water, thanks to a flapped charging port,

and you can pair it with a second speaker

without using the app – the reason being,

it doesn’t actually work with the UE app,

which in turn means it doesn’t do the same

Siri/Google Now cleverness as the Boom 2.

But it’s cheaper, and smaller, and cuter. And

you might think, well, that’s OK then.
