Impossible I-1
Natalya Paul, Social Media Editor

Working out of an old Polaroid factory, Impossible has
resurrected the original instant camera and injected it
with some skills worthy of the Instagram age. Connect
it to your phone and you’ll get extra control over your
photos, with quirky extras such as light painting and
remote triggering. Impossible hasn’t been able to
do anything about development time, though – it
takes half an hour to fully expose. Just don’t
shake it. OutKast lied.

BABY ONE
MORE TIME
As soon as you switch
on the I-1, the ring
flash will light up to
indicate how many
photos you have left
on the film.

OOPS,
I DID IT AGAIN
It’s easy to press
the shutter button by
mistake – which, given
the price of the film,
can become a very
expensive habit.
