There’s really no end to what a creative gardener

can do with containers. Here is a small sampling

of some additional ideas.

Whether small or large, topiaries make gorgeous

container specimens, even if your garden isn’t overly

formal. Here we see large topiaries growing in a

collection of mixed containers.

For apartment dwellers limited to gardening on

balconies and fire escapes, hanging buckets and

railing planters like these are a great way to grow.

Sometimes, plants themselves make great containers.

This unique living basket hosts a collection of edibles

and ornamentals, including kale, mustard greens, chard,

hot peppers, and cosmos (Cosmos sulphureus).

Even empty pots serve as unique garden accents. This

ivy-covered urn serves as a great focal point.
