Ground Support Equipment
In addition to tripod jacks, axle jacks, tow bars and
the engine change systems COBRA HYDRO`s port-
folio includes the full range of GSE products.
The close collaboration of HYDRO’s project en-
gineers with the aircraft manufacturers for final
assembly line configuration enables HYDRO to
design the GSE for a new aircraft type before the
first aircraft is delivered to an airline customer. All
GSE products are manufactured in house. Both,
the outstanding quality made in Germany and the
robust design, guarantee a trouble-free operation
and a long-life cycle.
HYDRO has established a warehouse strategy for
its top-selling GSE products. Top seller products in
standard equipment and color are manufactured in
cost efficient batch sizes on stock. This provides the
customer with lower sales prices and guarantees
shortest lead times.
Engine Tooling
HYDRO Systems is the sole Tooling Service Provider
for the Rolls-Royce Plc civil engine program.
HYDRO has an exclusive contract for the design
and supply of tools for all civil engines manufac-
tured by Rolls-Royce Plc such as Trent and RB211
engines used on Airbus and Boeing aircrafts. To
better support the customer needs, HYDRO has es-
tablished a subsiadary site in the UK (Derby) where
110 employees are solely working on Rolls-Royce
engine business.
Major milestones are the design and supply of
1,500 new tools for the Trent XWB program (Airbus
A350 XWB) or the delivery of complete tooling
packages to the first 3 overhaul shops for the XWB
engine.
The Engine Transportation stands used for the Trent
1000 (Boeing B787) and Trent XWB (A350) have
been designed by HYDRO. All stands are manufac-
tured by HYDRO USA and delivered to Rolls-Royce
