DORNIER Do 335 PFEIL 93
Left: Dornier Do 335A-0 VG+PH (Wk Nr 240102). After
the war this aircraft was shipped to the US Navy’s
Patuxent River Test Center in 1945 for evaluation.
In 1974 the decaying airframe was flown back to
Munich, for a complete restoration by Dornier Aircraft
at Oberpfaffenhofen before returning to the US where
it is displayed today at the Udvar-Hazy Center (the
Smithsonian Air and Space Museum at Dulles Airport),
the sole remaining example of this unique type.
