Your assignment
You are responsible for the technical development, scheduling and
cost-tracking of customized products for manned and un-manned aircraft. You
will act as system engineer for the combination of various subassemblies by
coordinating the inputs from the R&D, quality, production, process engineering
and purchasing departments during the design and manufacturing process.

years of experience in the aerospace industry. Ideally, you have experience with
precision products and manufacturing processes, in particular those processes
needed for ultra-high reliability applications. You have an excellent command
of spoken as well as written English and at least a good working knowledge of
German. Ideally, you have prior experience of electrical actuators.

Deputy Director (Engineering) – Part Time
CHIRP provides an independent, confidential facility for people involved
in the aviation industry to report safety concerns that they do not wish
to convey through company or regulatory channels. We are seeking a
part-time Deputy Director (Engineering) as the current incumbent will be
retiring. You will assist in the development of CHIRP and be responsible
for processing of maintenance and engineering related reports. You will
also be responsible for the managing the UK Maintenance Error
Management System (MEMS) initiative and its database.
The role assumes a commitment of 2 days per week with a combination of
home and office working.
The remuneration package will reflect the expertise required, but improving
aviation safety will be the main motivator.
