Startbytracingtwo(2)copies
ofthecrazyblockpatternontoa
pieceoffreezerpaper.Rememberto
transferthenumbersof each piece.
Do not cut out yet.2
Prepareyourfabricsbypressing
themallwell.Stacka pileoffive
(5)di erent ydpiecesontopof
eachotherwithrightsidesfacingup.
Pinthepaperpatternonthetoplayer
ofthestacktooneside– youwill
need the o cuts for later(Fig 1 ).individualsections.Thismightbe
a bittrickyif yourfabricsarethick,
butwedonotneedaccuratecutting
at thisstage,sojustdoyourbest.Do
notshu e thepiecesabout,make
sureyoukeepthemintheright
sequence and stacked as a square.4
Removethepaperfromthetop
layerandlayeachnumbered
patternpieceundereachstack.You
shouldhavetwo(2)pilesof five (5)
divided squares(Fig 2 ).Arrangingthestacks

Rearrangeyourstacksasfollows:

it is.

Takea pieceoffabricfromthetop
ofeachofstacks0 and1 andsew
rightsidestogetherwitha inseam.
Makesureyouaresewingthecorrect
edgestogether.Youdonotneedtobe
tooaccuratewithmatchingthesides.
Concentrateduringtheconstruction
ofthefirstblockbecauseyouwill
notyetbefamiliarwiththeshapes–
however,allwillfallinplace if you
follow the sequence. 8
Adda piecefromstack2,
followedbya piecefromstack
3.Repeatwithstack4 andfinallya
