myBearpaw,it is quitesurprisingthatI haveneverdesigneda BearPawQuilt.
Oneof thefirstquiltsI madeusedBearPawblocks,butthatwasnearly 30 years
agoandI havenotmadeanothersince!Withthatin mind,I decidedit wastimeto
designmyownversion,soI’vetakenthe‘paw’elementof thistraditionaldesign
andextendedit witha squareinnerborder.I thenquarteredit withsashingand
cornerstones.Thisgorgeous'Murmur'fabriccollectionbyValoriWellsis fullof
hummingbirdsandsunflowers,soI wantedto givethelargeprintsspaceto shine.
I alsowantedto givethedesigna lowcontrastvibe,soI pairedtheprintswith
eachotherratherthanchoosinga separatebackground. The result is a relaxed,
