A Service of Thanksgiving
for the Queen’s Reign
Radio 4, 11.10am
A service live from St Paul’s
Cathedral to mark the
Queen’s Platinum Jubilee.
The commentator Eleanor
Oldroyd, right, will describe
the scene as senior members
of the royal family and
representatives from across
the UK and Commonwealth
gather to celebrate and give
thanks for the Queen
becoming the longest-
reigning British monarch
after 70 years. The service

includes Bible readings,
prayers and congregational
hymns along with anthems
sung by the choir of St Paul’s.
It also features a new setting
of words from the Book of
Proverbs. Ben Dowell
