Retford (Gamston) Airport, Retford, Nottinghamshire, DN22 0QL

Gamston Aviation Limited is the owner and operator of Retford (Gamston) Airport

based in North Nottinghamshire UK. The Airport is a busy General Aviation

Aerodrome and fully licensed by the UK Civil Aviation Authority. It is home to over

a hundred based aircraft both fixed wing and rotary wing, ranging from two-seater

training aircraft through to business turboprop and turbofan aircraft.

The airport seeks an experienced person to fulfil the role of

Airport Manager and

Accountable Manager

As well as general management of the airport and its customers, the role will

include shifts in the busy Control Tower providing an Air Ground Communication

Service, collecting landing fees and payments for fuel sales etc. Working at

weekends and on Bank Holidays will be required.

The applicant will need to be proficient with the requirements of CAA publications

CAP162 - Licensing of Aerodromes, CAP393 - The Air Navigation Order and

Regulations, CAP738 - Safeguarding of Aerodromes, CAP 232 – Aerodrome

Surveys and CAP452 - Aeronautical Radio Station Operators Guide. The

applicant should already hold a Radio Operators Certificate of Competence

and be able to demonstrate a good knowledge of the terminology required by

CAP413 - Radiotelephony Manual. Competence in the use of the Microsoft suite

of Office products is essential.
