Metaphorization in turn being central in cognitive linguistics, is a
powerful tool that triggers both lexical and textual creativity in specialized
and general language. In fact, economy and creativity seem to be the
driving forces behind metaphoric expressions used in headlines. Moreover,
many processes of neology and formation of new/novel metaphors involve
a process called blending, as described in conceptual blending theory
(Fauconnier and Turner 1998) discussed in the section above.
