7Use the random username and password
you’ve just generated to set up an account on
the site you need to access. Then, next time
you need to log in, return to the site and right-click
one of the fields in the login form^1. Hover over
Bitwarden^2 and click ‘Log in to your vault’^3 in the
Auto-fill menu. Enter the Bitwarden username and
master password you set up in Step 1, and it will
auto-fill your random username and password
without you having to remember them.STEP
6Finally, associate the username and
password with a website by typing the
site’s address in the URI 1 box^1. This
helps Bitwarden suggest the correct login details
when you need to sign in. You shouldn’t need to
change the way it recognises the domain but, if
you have any problems when trying to input
your saved credentials, click the cog^2 and
select an option on the ‘Default match
detection’ menu^3. These options are explained
in more detail on Bitwarden’s site: http://www.snipca.
com/41823. Click the disk icon to save your
settings.

5Click the tick at the bottom of the form to save your
new username, then click the circular arrow^1 beside
Password to generate a random password to go with it.
If the password it generates doesn’t satisfy the requirements of
the site, click Options^2 and specify its length^3 , whether it
should include upper- and lower-case letters^4 , special
characters^5 , and so on. Click the tick to save it.STEP
4Alternatively, if you host your email on your own
domain, choose ‘Catch-all Email’ and again enter your
email address at the bottom. Bitwarden will now replace
the section before the @ with a random sequence. Many ISPs let
you set up an inbox to receive emails sent to non-existent users,
including your randomised email address. Others let you
forward email for unrecognised addresses to another inbox, as
we’re doing here with our Gmail account^1.
