Scale Aviation Modeller International — November 2017

his month we have more
resin from Attack Models
of Poland, starting with
a very interesting conversion.
Many readers will be aware of
the many interesting decals
from Model Maker for Polish
F-16s, but other than a very
expensive Hasegawa kit, no one
has supplied all the modifications
to produce this variant in 1/72
scale. That is, until now, as Attack
have produced a set of resin and
brass parts to produce a Polish
F-16C, with all the latest lumps
and bumps, using the Revell
or Hasegawa kit as a base.
The other two new sets this
month are far simpler: the first
supplies a nicely detailed Pratt
and Whitney R-2800 double wasp
engine in resin and brass for the
Eduard F-6F Hellcat, while the
second supplies a pair of P-51
Mustang 75 gallon fuel tanks.

72133 P-51 75 GALLON P-51 MUSTANGS

CONCLUSION
I really like Attack’s choice of
subjects and I do hope they
consider scaling up the
Polish Viper conversion to
both 1/48 and 1/32 scale.
Our thanks to Attack Squadron
for supplying these sets for us
to review. For further details and

sets visit http://www.armahobby.pl.

Iwata

T

here are some items that
you will probably buy once
and will last you the rest
of your modelling lifetime. An
example is an airbrush holder,
and who better to supply it than
Iwata, who have a reputation
for building quality products?

IWATA TWIN AIRBRUSH HOLDER
PART: AH400

This holder has been designed
to take any type of airbrush, no
matter if the paint pot is located
on the top, bottom, or side. And
it is one of the few that will
take a trigger style airbrush. An

adaptor is supplied to attach the
Iwata paint cleaning station.

CONCLUSION
If you are starting to assemble a
workshop, I can recommend this
high quality brush holder no matter
what brand of airbrush you prefer.
It can be ordered from
the Airbrush Company, who
supplied our review sample.
Next month we will look at the
Iwata paint cleaning station.
To order, visit http://www.
airbrushes.com , or in the UK

BarracudaCast

T

his month BarracudaCast
have supplied us with
their latest wheel sets. All
are nicely cast, with hub detail
far superior to plastic parts,
while the tyres have a realistic
slightly weighted effect.
Most of the tyres are designed
to fit specific Spitfire kits: Eduard
in 1/72 and 1/48, and Tamiya in
1/32. But BarracudaCast have
also included small resin axle
adaptors, so you can use them on
any other manufacturer’s kit.
The final set is designed
to fit Trumpeter’s 1/24 scale
Messerschmitt Bf109G-6 or
G-10. It replaces the kit’s poor

plastic and vinyl with beautiful
one-piece resin replacements
and is a must-have for anyone
with this kit in the stash.
