Werner Wings
T
he latest release from
Werner Wings is designed
to complement the recent
Kittyhawk UH-1, a kit into
which Werner Wings gave a lot
of input at the design stage.
Their new sheets supply
markings for the Huey in Vietnam.
I was very pleased to see that, as
well as the US Cavalry regiments,
an example from the Australian
Air Force (a nation whose military
contribution during the course
of the Vietnam War is often
overlooked), is also included.
For those wanting to use
more than one stencil from the
main sheet, the stencil sheet
supplies a second set, plus five
additional options, and a number
and letter jungle. A selection of
geometric shapes, used to identify
individual units, is also included.1/48 SCALE

W
hen Wingnut Wings
released their limited
edition “Green Tail
Trilogy” – three Albatross
kits, featuring eleven marking
options for Jasta 5 – it flew
off the shelves. But does this
kit have a sting in the tail?
As the name suggests, all
of the aircraft have green tails,
but they also feature a fine red
pinstripe around the edges of all
the tail surfaces, which Wingnutwould have you paint by hand. I
am sure that, after a stiff drink,
I might get a reasonable result
on one surface, but never would
I get a perfect result on all six.
Well, now Pheon Decals
have produced a decal for the
pinstripe that is a perfect fit for
the Wingnut Wings tail surfaces.
There is also enough to wrap
around the fuselage, with a little
to spare in case of accidents.1/32 SCALE

CONCLUSION
In my view, this is a must-have
sheet for anyone who already has,

latest project
was very well timed last
September at E-Day in
Prague. Their latest
decal sheet supplies
markings for two-seat
Mig-15UTI’s in 1/144
scale, which coincidently
was the kit that Eduard
was giving to everyone
attending (though in a
relatively plain Czech
marking scheme).
Eduard’s new-tool kit will
be released as a normal
issue later this year, so
