during^ the^ closing^ of 2012 Naval^ Air^ Base^ Kiel‐

basethe^ former^ home^ Holtenau,^ from^ MFG‐ 5.The^ inventory

of^ the^ MFG‐^5 includes^22 Westland^ Sea^

Mk.^88 A^ and^21 LynxWestland^ Sea^ King^ Mk.^ 41.^ The

Seaon^ Lynx^ are^ based^ frigates.^ They^ support^ the^

submarinein^ their^ anti^ Navy^ role,^ transport^ troops^ and

aretasks^ used^ for^ SAR^ between^ the^ ship^ con‐

theThe^ Sea^ King^ joined^ voys.^ German^ Navy^ in^1972

is^ still^ in^ service,^ butanda^ replacement^ is^ on^ the^

‐to90TTH^ from^ Bückeburg^ NH^ Nordholz,^ which^ didn’t^

part^ in^ the^ flyingtakechallenge.^ The^ Belgian^ Navy^

  40  Sqn.^ brought^ onefromNH‐^90 “Caiman”^ to^ Nordholz;

dueproblems^ to^ technical^ the^ Caiman^ re‐

thatgrounded.^ This^ was^ mained^ meeting^ that^ never^ was.

baseis^ also^ the^ home^ Nordholz^ from^ Naval^ Air^ Wing^

inventory“Graf^ Zeppelin”.^ The^3 includes^2 Dorn‐

Do‐^228 LM^ and^8 xierP‐3C^ Orion,^ which^ are^ now^ taking

part^ in^ an^ upgrade program^ that^ includes^ in‐

theand^ check^ out^ of^ stallation^ MLU‐K15^ kits^ and^ also

ais^ re‐winging.^ The^ program^ set^ for^8 years^ and^
