itting on the train on my
way to ground school to
attend my exit interview
seems like a fitting
opportunity to reflect on
what has been a significant change
in my career. I’ve just completed the
last of 14 exams required to begin the
flying phase of my Airline Transport
Pilots Licence (ATPL) in Arizona.
The rather dramatic shift in direction
comes after 14 years working for the
ambulance service and, as you read
these words, I remain qualified as a
